  AIMS

  Our project “Europe’s Family Gathering” aims to focus on traditional and cultural dimension of countries and broaden horizons of our students, teachers and local people.Our school is located in a community that is not very open to other cultures, students don't have the opportunity to know other people and to develop themselves socially. Therefore, we want to carry out this project transnationally to give them a chance to know other cultures. It will be highly beneficial to make students and their families aware of other cultures. This is the main goal of our project.We would like to have our project in a friendly atmosphere like on the title of it, in a family-like environment.
  We believe it should also develop our students’ ability to cooperate, communicate in a foreign language effectively and use of ICT while putting the activities into practice.

  WORK PROCESS

  First of all, an informative meeting about the project will be organized with the partners. There will be constant communication among partners via social network and e-mail. A beginning survey will be carried out about the expectations of students for the project. Then for each month we will organize one activitiy. We plan to start in November and end in April. The activities are listed as:
  A calendar with special days,
  A booklet about special and traditional events with pictures and some information,
  A cookbook with recipes for dishes served traditionally and a video tutorial,
  Presenting events in the form of short films,
  Postcards to celebrate the days.
  Division of work will be provided among students and they will be active in the process. During the process, online meetings will be held constantly to see the progress. At the end of the project, a final survey will be carried out

  EXPECTED RESULTS

  The results of our project are expected to be moral more than material. In other words, we aim to bring in our students and local people the tolerance and respect for others. On the other hand, we plan to reach this aim with concrete activities listed above. Free web resources(facebook page,youtube etc) will be continually provided during the life of the project in order to show and disseminate the project results to a wider public who is not only the teachers and students but also the whole community interested in different traditions from many point of view, e.g. food, storytelling.
